A biography is simply the story of a life. Biographies can be just a few sentences long, or they can fill an entire book—or two.
•Very short biographies tell the basic facts of someone's life and importance.
•Longer biographies include that basic information of course, with a lot more detail, but they also tell a good story.
Biographies analyze and interpret the events in a person's life. They try to find connections, explain the meaning of unexpected actions or mysteries, and make arguments about the significance of the person's accomplishments or life activities. Biographies are usually about famous, or infamous people, but a biograpy of an ordinary person can tell us a lot about a particular time and place. They are often about historical figures, but they can also be about people still living.
Many biographies are written in chronological order. Some group time periods around a major theme (such as "early adversity" or "ambition and achievement" ). Still others focus on specific topics or accomplishments.
Biographers use primary and secondary sources:
•Primary sources are things like letters, diaries, or newspaper accounts.
•Secondary sources include other biographies, reference books, or histories that provide information about the subject of the biography.
To write a biography you should:
1.Select a person you are interested in
2.Find out the basic facts of the person's life. Start with the encyclopedia and almanac.
3.Think about what else you would like to know about the person, and what parts of the life you want to write most about. Some questions you might want to think about include:
1.What makes this person special or interesting?
2.What kind of effect did he or she have on the world? other people?
3.What are the adjectives you would most use to describe the person?
4.What examples from their life illustrate those qualities?
5.What events shaped or changed this person's life?
6.Did he or she overcome obstacles? Take risks? Get lucky?
7.Would the world be better or worse if this person hadn't lived? How and why?
4.Do additional research at your library or on the Internet to find information that helps you answer these questions and tell an interesting story.
5.Write your biography. See the Tips on Writing Essays and How to Write a Five Paragraph Essay for suggestions.
You'll find biographies of lots of famous people in the encyclopedia. (Look them up in the Infoplease search box to find them.) You can also browse these short biographies of Selected Figures from Recent History.

biography of lil wayne
ReplyDeletelil wayne was born september 27 1982 in new orleans and was one of the hot boys which is an american rap group associated whith cash money records. A native of New Orleans, Lil Wayne grew up in the Hollygrove section of town. As an aspiring young rapper, Wayne rapped at neighbour parties and it was at one of these parties that he was overheard by members of U.N.L.V., a group signed to Cash Money Records.. Wayne was given contact information and followed up on them in a autograph signing session where he met the Cash Money CEOs Brian "Baby" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams. As Wayne became more serious about the rap game and started to wear gang-affiliate attire, his mother became concerned about the Williams brothers' influence on her son, as she had knowledge of the Williams brothers' thorough street reputation. While playing with a loaded gun, Wayne shot himself in the chest and almost bled to death. When the police arrived, he claimed the unregistered gun had belonged his stepfather, Reginald "Rabbit" Carter. This landed Rabbit a six month prison bid. Then shortly after Rabbit came home, he was abducted and murdered. As Brian came to pick up Wayne for studio sessions one afternoon, he was informed of the tragic news, and decided to raise Wayne on Rabbit's behalf as Wayne's surrogate father.Wayne now has a large tattoo of the words "Bang Bang" on his chest to commemorate his shooting and also has "Rabbit" tattooed on his arm, in honour of his beloved slain stepfather. well lil wayne from the beging of his life had a ruff start but has come out to be a very rich powerfull rapper
Amy Christine Dumas, also known as Lita. It's her ring name, she's one of my favorite pro wrestlers, she was one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. She was born on April 14th,1975.Right now she's 35. Yet she's still beautiful,or as the men say, sexy as always. She retired on November 26th,2006,cause people have been calling her a slut,(cause she cheated on Matt Hardy and Kane with Edge, one Matt's closest friends)but it was all just for the fans to get more interest in pro wrestling(cause of tall the drama that goes on),but I don't care I love it anyways.I'm thinking about becoming a famous pro wrestler like Lita. But you'd be shocked of how an amazing fighter she used to be, I hope that one day if I decide to become a pro wrestler I could ask her to be my trainer(that be a heck of an idea).I love the way she used fight against Trish Stratus(Lita's former best friend), they've been rivals for who knows how long. You should see how she uses the twist of fate(the hardy boyz move)on her former rivals/opponents.She was the most awesome Diva fighter I've ever seen, I can't believe she retired from WWE,man(though it's really not that hard to believe). I hope that one day that she comes to TNA, how much of a surprise would that be? A big one that's for sure.

Based on this biography i learned alot about Maya Angelou she Inspired me alot- Quote;Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with deeper meaning That means that instead of writing how you feel on paper it comes out better if you say it because you can put more feelings into it
